Iran Human Rights Update

“For over 40 years, restrictions and punishments in the Islamic Republic of Iran violate international human rights laws and norms. These violations include harsh penalties for crimes, punishment of victimless crimes, execution of prisoners under 18 years of age, extrajudicial executions, and restrictions on freedom of speech and the press (including the imprisonment, torture and/or execution of journalists and political activists). Gender and religion apartheid through systemic state-sponsored misogyny and compensatory practice of religion are among the reasons why the Iranian people continue to seek democratic regime change. This Information hopes to provide a window of transparency into these brutalities and help inform the viewer about the ongoing crimes against humanity in Iran.” More…
